Introduction

Thank you for your interest in joining the South Coast Panel of Cricket Officials, new membership applications are always welcome. Our current requirements for active membership are that a person has:

  • Suitable qualifications - currently specified as having attended (at least) an ECB Stage 2 course.
  • Registered with the ECB ACO for accreditation.
  • Appropriate insurance cover (membership of the ECB ACO automatically provides such cover).
  • A current DBS Disclosure Certificate.

All applicants will be considered by the Management Committee, whose decision as to the suitability of these qualifications and acceptability of the applicant is final. Umpires shall not be considered for active membership until the Committee is satisfied that it has adequate evidence of their on-field experience.

All newly qualified active members should be formally observed or assessed during their first full year of membership or as soon as possible thereafter. The Panel also has a non-active membership category.
